We're a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. DPC is a unique approach to healthcare and our patients love it. So, how is it different?
Did you know that most Primary Care Providers have between 2,500-3,500 patients? We limit our practice to under 1,000 patients total. That means that your doctor spends more time with you when you need her. Plus, when she is not actively seeing a patient, she is able to help coordinate your care and research your treatments.
Salcedo Family Care does not bill any insurance plans so you won’t have a middle-man in your primary care. Decisions about your healthcare will be made by you and your doctor without the impersonal management that comes from third-party payers. Instead, patients pay a monthly membership fee which can save money and covers excellent treatment. Give it a try, and you’ll quickly see for yourself the value of this approach!
Forget scheduling appointments weeks in advance. Typically you'll get a next-day appointment - and it'll be free.
Contact us whenever you want, however you want - email, text, in-person, even telemedicine or video chat. You're part of the family.
We've negotiated wholesale rates on medication and lab tests, and we pass all those savings straight to you.
From a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a Doctor. I was born in Puerto Rico, and raised in Nicaragua, Central America. Growing up in a third-world country, I recognized the need for medical and health services. By age 15, I was an active volunteer for the Red Cross. I attended Medical School at National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), and then completed my residency in family medicine at the University Medical Center at Texas Tech in El Paso, Texas. After completing my residency, I became board certified in family medicine. I then went on to practice family medicine in a private clinic setting and attending physician in four major hospitals. After my time in El Paso, I worked at Cyfair Medical Partners in Houston, TX. In 2015, I chose the Austin area as my permanent home where I have since worked in clinics, urgent care and telemedicine in the surrounding areas.
My goal is to provide high-quality individualized care the patient needs through affordable and accessible healthcare. With Direct Primary Care, I’m able to achieve this goal. I understand that properly educating patients on their conditions, treatment options, and coordinating the patient’s care requires time. With my interpersonal skills and easygoing personality, I connect well with my patients. I believe it is important to be approachable and compassionate toward patients. At Salcedo Family Care, we are passionate about providing our patients the best care they deserve with the extended time on every single visit.
I love spending time with Katherine and my two boys, Christian and Ryan. I enjoy traveling, kayaking, fishing, bicycling, and cooking.
